Brief Report :
Invited Lecture and Book Launch at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi Ranchi,
August 21, 2025: The Department of Zoology, St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi,
organized an invited lecture by Mr. Manish Piyush, Director of Puresh Daily
Foods, at Fr. Proost Hall this afternoon. The program commenced at 2:00 pm with
the anchoring of Dr. Priya Srivastava, followed by a warm welcome address to
the guest by Dr. Bharti Singh Raipat, Head of the Department of Zoology. Mr.
Piyush delivered an insightful and comprehensive lecture, enriching the
audience with his expertise and practical perspectives on the dairy industry.
His talk was well-received by students and faculty members alike, generating
meaningful discussions on opportunities and innovations in the sector. The
occasion also witnessed the official launch of the book “Handbook on Dairy
Technology”, authored by Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Rakesh Ranjan, and Dr. Bharti
Singh Raipat. The book has been designed in alignment with the upcoming add-on
course in Dairy Technology to be introduced by the Department of Zoology,
further strengthening the department’s commitment to skill-based learning and
applied sciences. The program concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered
by Dr. Manoj Kumar, Department of Zoology, St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi,
acknowledging the contribution of the guest speaker, dignitaries, and
participants in making the event a success.
