It was time for the last lecture of Saturday. All students were waiting for the commencement of the class, when to our pleasant surprise; our beloved senior Sanjna Di came. She was called to share her experiences and impart us some knowledge about postgraduation scopes, its preparations and colleges of interest to pursue various fields of Zoology. She has not secured seat in the entrances of prestigious institutes like BHU and JNU with outsanding scores, but she also cracked the IIT-JAM with AIR 18. Currently, she is pursuing Integrated M.Sc + PhD from IISc Banglore.

She discussed the examination pattern and difficulty level of various Competitive and Entrance exams she had faced, advising us to go through our class lectures and notes thoroughly. ‘The one, who has carefully listened the class lectures, can crack any entrance exam possible’ was her words. She also told the various types of preparations we must do to face an Entrance. Then, she narrated her stories about various Interviews she faced, giving us the insight of its Dos and Don’ts. Giving us some best tips and tricks as she could, she talked about various matters like hard work, consistency and focused mind in details. “Decide your goals now only. It’s an opportunity for you to build up your future today itself, and start preparing for it. Nothing can motivate you more than yourself. Once you achieve something; you become the point of attention for everyone else, but never get over-joyous. It is short lived. Be consistent at your work.” she said.

Various to-and-fro questions came, to which she answered patiently and contently. She had had individual interactions with many of us and advised on our personal interests. Finally, imbibing as much knowledge as we can from her, we bided her goodbye with immense respect. We are highly grateful to Bharti Mam for giving us this opportunity to gain some well-needed wisdom from our senior.
